7/24/2009 Day 8

5:05 AM I wake up 5 minutes before the alarm

5:45 yoga class I was a bit lightheaded in yoga today. I feel that maybe I pushed myself in the class a bit to hard today and didn’t pace myself

8 AM 3 oz of Zrii, 3 egg omelet (1 yolk) with diced yellow onions and cheddar., 10 oz of water and a peach

9 AM I received my first compliment today. My mother, Judy works with me in our chiropractic clinic and she said that i am looking thinner.

10:42 AM Zrii chocolate shake made with 8 oz of water and 4 tablespoons of the product. 25 oz of water

I am feeling tired today. I could easily make an excuse and take a nap over my lunch break at the chiropractic office today. I will stay committed to what I have started and push myself.

12:20 PM The cool water of the pool at 24 hour fitness woke me right up. I swam 20 laps today. That is double the distance of where I started a week ago. I picked up the pace quite a bit on the 20th lap. The swim was 10 minutes. 5 minutes in the steam room.

1:11 PM back at my chiropractic office. I am eating a handful of almonds, 25 oz of water, chicken (about the size of my fist, this is the left over chicken from yesterday.) broccoli and brown rice.

As I drink my water, I am proud that I pushed myself to go to the gym to swim today. If I had chosen to nap instead it would have given me temporary happiness. The sense of accomplishment is a much more powerful feeling and the rewards from my positive actions will be long term. We are all given multiple opportunities everyday to make choices. The way we decide can either have a positive or a negative impact on our finances, our health and/or our happiness.

3:30 PM 4 oz Knudson’s on the go low fat cottage cheese, banana and 25 oz of water

7:30 PM Chicken and Green Bean stir fry & 10 oz of water

9:30 PM OK I had a tremendous sweet tooth. This is what I did to satisfy that urge. Zrii Vanilla meal replacement (4 scoops), a banana, a handful of blueberries mixed in a blender with 8 oz of water. Oh man did that taste great. Obviously more calories than I should be consuming this late at night but, it was fruit and it is way better than eating a sugary snack, cookies or ice cream.

10:30 PM 3 oz of Zrii
